ABC Window Company, Inc., in business for over thirty years, is a leading Southern California manufacturer and installer of high quality Windows and doors for the new-home construction market. Raymond R. (Whitey) Hegwer, founder and long-time owner of ABC Window Company, began ABC Products Co. in June 1971 in South El Monte, California. In 1986, the company relocated to its current central location in Ontario, California. In 1996, Mr. Hegwer’s daughter, Ellen Hegwer, joined the team and later became President and CEO.
The year 2004 brought some significant changes to the Company. In January, Mr. Hegwer sold his interest to a private equity group, while Ellen Hegwer remained in the role of CEO and retained her ownership interest. The new majority owner has provided ABC Window Company with additional professional management expertise and strong financial backing that will enable it to achieve its long-term growth plans. Also during 2004, the Company brought to market several new products, the Deluxe Vinyl Window and Door, which feature a 3 ¼” frame and other special aesthetic qualities.
Joining ABC Windows in 2006, Bob Raichle, the Company's President and CEO, has twenty years of experience in senior sales, operations, and general management positions for new construction and remodel/retrofit window manufacturers. Vinyl Single Hung Window:
• Single Hung Window- Metal reinforced interlocking panels give structural support and will also increase strength and safety. This feature will ensure a precise closing and locking process.
• 7/8" Nail-on fin is designed to accept 7/8" stucco. This allows the exterior of the window to finish evenly with the exterior of the house.
• The 1/8" stucco key eliminates the separation of stucco against the window's perimeter.
• Fusion welded corners on both frame and panel profiles eliminates the possibility of leaks and minimizes air and water infiltration. Welding ensures that corners will be permanently square and structurally strong.
• All insulated glass has standard ¾" overall thickness for increased thermal performance.
• Positive action cam lock insures a weather tight seal and exceeds all forced entry resistance requirements.
Vinyl Horizontal Slider:
• Metal reinforced interlocking panels give structural support and will also increase strength and safety and ensure a precise closing and locking process.
• 7/8" Nail-on fin is designed to accept 7/8" stucco. This allows the exterior of the window to finish evenly with the exterior of the house.
• The 1/8" stucco key eliminates the separation of stucco against the window's perimeter.
• Fusion welded corners on both frame and panel profiles eliminates the possibility of leaks and minimizes air and water infiltration. Welding ensures that corners will be permanently square and structurally strong.
• All insulated glass has standard ¾" overall thickness for increased thermal performance.
• Both fixed and sliding panels have even glass sight lines that provide a aesthetically pleasing and balanced look.
• A Snap-in vinyl bead on both fixed and sliding panels allows for easy replacement of glass. All nail-on fins are pre-punched for easy installation.
• Heavy-duty brass tandem rollers slide over a replacement snap-in sill track for years of easy, smooth operation.
Vinyl Fixed Window:
• Beveled frame design is aesthetically pleasing and allows the structural weight of the glass to be placed directly on the top of the frame sill. This also eliminates racking and twisting of the window.
• Low cost, uniform fixed section is available in a selection of shapes (rakes, circles, radius, octagons, hexagons) in addition to standard squares and rectangles. Numerous stacking configurations are available.
Vinyl Sliding Glass Door:
• The Patio Door mainframe can be mechanically fastened or fusion welded. All panel parts are fusion welded.
• Adjustable tandem rollers insure smooth, silent operation.
• The heavy-duty handle set complies with all forced entry requirements.
• Re-enforced interlocking panels provide structural support and increases strength and safety. This feature will ensure a precise closing and locking process.
• All insulated glass has standard ¾" overall thickness for increased thermal performance.
• Positive action mortise lock exceeds all forced entry requirements. Nail-on fins are pre-punched for easy installation.
