Anlin Window Systems evolved through our prior business "Moore Insulation Service". Founded in 1951, Moore Insulation Service provided homeowners with products to increase energy efficiency in their homes. These products included retrofit insulation (ceiling and walls), window films, storm windows and vinyl replacement windows. The knowledge and experience acquired through the years, led to a decision in focusing on one product which is a major contributor to the loss of energy in a home; windows. With the potential to reduce energy usage up to 30 percent in a residence, the direction of business was clear.
In 1990, Moore Insulation Service created "Anlin Industries" Corporation and signed a license agreement with Certainteed Corporation to manufacture their windows. In less than a decade, Anlin became the fastest growing CertainTeed manufacturer in the nation, providing customers with the highest quality and service known to the industry. In 1999, Anlin was recognized and awarded the "Industrial Business of The Year" by the City of Clovis, California State Senate and the U.S. House of Representatives. In 2000, Anlin was awarded the U.S. (SBA) "Small Business of The Year", recognized by the California State Assembly and Congress.
To continue this success, Anlin would need to promote and produce its own products for the new millennium. In March of 2001, Anlin's license agreement with CertainTeed Corporation ended. After our experience with the CertainTeed Corporation, Anlin made the necessary improvements and continued its focus on the California replacement market. On April 2, 2001, Anlin launched its own brand of window and door products engineered specifically for California. These energy enhanced products are thermally superior, easy to operate, easy to maintain, have enhanced appearance, greater comfort and the best warranty in the business. These products were an immediate success, due in large part to the input from homeowners and our customers over the past decade.

Though windows provide beautiful views and wonderful natural light, they can also account for up to 30 percent of the annual energy consumed in a home. Education and knowing what to look for in an energy efficient window are the best means to make an intelligent purchase. Anlin Window Systems is pleased to provide homeowners with the necessary information to make the right choice for their investment.
First, know your climate zone and what a window needs to achieve to be energy efficient. For example: CALIFORNIA has a moderate to hot climate zone year round. Therefore, keeping the sun's solar heat from entering your home will be the biggest factor in the efficiency of a window. There are many tests as well as categories to measure the performance of heat transfer through a window. However, there are only two tests that specifically measure the amount of heat and solar radiation (sun's heat) entering through a window.»The term for the first test is:
SOLAR HEAT GAIN COEFFICIENT (SHGC).
Measures the amount of radiant heat transfer from the sun through a window. The lower the number means the less amount of solar heat transfer through the window (lower is better). Example: typical vinyl window SHGC = .35 to .40 (Anlin Window Systems SHGC = .27, this equates to a 48% thermal improvement).

TOTAL UNIT FACTOR (U-Factor).
Measures the amount conduction, radiation and convective heat transfer through a window. The lower the number means a better insulated window (lower is better). Example: typical vinyl window U-Factor = .35 to .40 (Anlin Window Systems U-Factor = .28, this equates to a 43% thermal improvement).
ANLIN WINDOW SYSTEMS has the lowest (most efficient) SHGC and U-FACTOR numbers in the business!
CAUTION: Many window companies, including "national brands" will focus on other attributes other than SHGC and U-Factors because their products were designed and produced out of state (in another climate zone), which means the window can be significantly less efficient. Other window companies will use their new construction windows (windows that are price driven and lack benefits and features to meet the price point of their customers) as their replacement windows. This also can cause a window to be less efficient. Homeowners need the correct information in what to look for and what questions to ask before making that window investment.
