Double Seal Technology
The primary seal of polyisobutylene eliminates seal failure by minimizing moisture transmission through the seal.
The second seal of polysulfide provides long-term adhesion, water resistance, and resistance to solvents commonly found in glazing sealants and wood preservatives. The secondary seal and spacer also ensure the unit's structural integrity.
It is recommended by the IGMAC technical committee that larger units need a dual seal with a metal attain the rigidity required to keep sealed units from flexing.
