The dream started to shape in 1954, as Mister Harry C. Moss, jr. and his wife, Nita began a modest seasonal bussiness supplying aluminum screens to families needing to replace worn-out ones. Within two years the product was offered to lumberyards and building materials dealers. In 1968, the growing company expanded the product line to include aluminum windows and patio doors. By the early 1980's Moss became one of the first manufacturers in the Southeast to offer vinyl windows.
