Aluminum – The Framing Material of Choice

Only aluminum windows can provide the strength, stability and clean narrow sight lines that Architects and Builders desire. NuAir aluminum windows are a lasting value and are able to be configured into large combinations maximizing views and designs. With its high strength-to-weight ratio, aluminum is easily formed and still provides a surface that resists denting and weathering. NuAir takes it a step further with our unique mulling system that allows you to create exciting window combinations. As a result, our aluminum windows are found in projects ranging from entry-level homes and multifamily projects to high-end custom homes and light commercial applications.

Environmental Awareness

At NuAir we recognize the importance of recycling and using products made with recycled materials. It takes 95% less energy to produce aluminum from recycled materials. While NuAir use only virgin aluminum in our framing profiles, any waste or drop from our processes are 100% recycled. The same applies to our scrap and broken glass. All NuAir scrap glass is returned to the recycling vendor for use in items from reflective coatings for highways to bottles to vinyl replacement windows glass.

Aluminum is a surprisingly “Green” building material, with 45 to 50 percent reconverted into other usable products. No other material comes close; metal or non-metal. It takes only 5,000 btu’s of energy to convert scrap aluminum to usable material. Vinyl, wood and steel take up to three times as much energy to reprocess.

The interior and exterior frame of our aluminum window is protected with a special Endura® Electrostatic Paint (ESP) finish. It is much more durable than liquid paint and results in a clean, uniform paint coverage. Electrostatic paint is an environmentally friendly process because it contains no VOCs (Volatile Organic Compound) to evaporate into the air or go down the drain.
