More than 58 years of family tradition and commitment

In 1947, Norman Pollard arrived in Canada ready to embrace a new life for himself and his family. As a skilled carpenter, he taught his wife and children everything he knew about woodworking and a year later, Pollard Windows was born. Then every window was made by hand. Today, Pollard operates out of a state of the art 300,000 square foot manufacturing plant and is recognized as a leader in new and replacement window manufacturing.

The Pollard formula for success is simple: work hard, reinvest in new technology and give customers more for their money. We take great pride in combining superb craftsmanship with the latest technology in manufacturing techniques.

See how ENERGY STAR can make a difference in your home!

Choosing a window can be challenging – there are a wide range of styles, brands, and options to choose from. ENERGY STAR® makes it easy to narrow down the choices related to keeping your home comfortable. By choosing an ENERGY STAR qualified window, you won’t have to research the impact of all your window choices on your heating and cooling bills. Simply look at the ENERGY STAR climate region map, and verify on the label that the manufacturer has qualified the window for your region. The ENERGY STAR criteria have optimized the choices for different climate patterns in the U.S. and Canada.

Pollard Windows is proud to offer our customers Windows and doors with the ENERGY STAR label. ENERGY STAR was created to help consumers easily identify products, homes, and buildings that save energy and money, and help protect the environment. Products that earn the ENERGY STAR prevent greenhouse gas emissions [or protect the environment] by meeting strict energy efficiency guidelines set by the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the US Department of Energy (DOE) and are endorsed by the Government of Canada.

Shopping for windows, doors and skylights? Buy an energy-efficient product and save on your energy costs. ENERGY STAR makes it as easy as 1-2-3 . . .

  1. Find the zone where you live or where the product will be installed (see map). The U.S. and Canada have each been divided into four climate zones based on annual average temperature. The Southern Zone (U.S.) or Zone A (Canada) is the mildest and The Northern Zone (U.S.) or Zone D (Canada), the coldest.
  2. Look for the ENERGY STAR symbol in the showroom and on promotional literature, or ask your builder, salesperson, contractor or renovator.
  3. Make sure that the product model you are buying is qualified for the correct zone, or for colder zones to save even more energy. All ENERGY STAR qualified windows, doors and skylights have been certified by an accredited agency for their energy performance.
