CAVCO vinyl replacement windows are custom made to fit the exact size of your opening. They provide the best energy efficiency, tilt in for easy cleaning, install easily (limiting the disruption in your home) and are cost efficient.
U-value is the amount of heat transferred through a material. The lower the U-Value the better the insulating quality.
R-Value is the resistance a material has to heat flow. The higher the R-Value, the greater the resistance to heat loss.
Low E2 is a special neutral-colored high performance coated glass that helps reduce heat transference. When Low E2 is combined with Argon gas (which replaces the air inside the insulated glass unit) the insulating quality of the glass further increases, significantly reducing heating and air conditioning costs.
Condensation forms on windows when cold surface glass comes in contact with warm, moist air. Most types of condensation are temporary, such as condensation from a warm shower. Changing seasons from humid summers to cooler falls can also be a cause of temporary condensation.
Vinyl windows with double insulated glass reduce window condensation because they tolerate higher percentages of relative indoor humidity before condensation occurs. Controlling the amount of moisture in your home is an effective way of avoiding condensation.
It’s simple. Each sash has tilt buttons to allow easy access to the outside of the windows. Simply raise the bottom sash about two inches, then engage the tilt buttons towards the center of the window, and gently pull the sash towards you until it is able to rest on the window sill. Lower the top sash two inches and repeat the same steps. Use a common glass cleaner or mild soap to clean the glass and vinyl. When you are done, just gently push the top sash back into the window frame by engaging the tilt buttons again until the sash is firmly in place in the frame.
