In many areas good building practice and/or code require integration of the window with an appropiate weather-resistive barrier and flashing. GA has more detailed installation instructions presented below that we strongly recommend. GA shall bear no responsibility if its products are not prepared, installed, sealed, fastened, flashed and cared for in accordance with GA instructions, good building practice and code. GA assumes no responsibility for improper product selection or installation. It is the sole responsibility of the purchaser to make product and glazing selections in compliance with applicable laws and building codes.

   General Aluminum’s Vinyl Patio Doors are designed to meet the highest standards of quality and performance. The frames of our home-enhancing patio doors feature multi-chamber, rigid vinyl construction to ensure strong resistance to twisting and bending.

    Because our vinyl is immune to insects, rotting and weather changes, resistant to damage from salt or airborne chemicals and requires little or no maintenance, homeowners can expect many years of easy, trouble-free operation. And with optional Low-E glass, they can look forward to lower energy bills as well.

General Aluminum warrants solely to the original consumer purchaser (User) of General Aluminum vinyl windows, aluminum windows, vinyl patio doors and aluminum patio doors that the window and door units (excluding multi-family construction and glass) as sold will be free from defects in material and workmanship that significantly impair operation and function for as long as User owns and permanently resides in the home in which these products were first installed. Upon receipt of Notice of a defect in materials or workmanship covered by this Limited Warranty, General Aluminum shall, at its sole option, repair the product, replace defective parts or product or refund the original purchase price for the defective unit.
