The Sunrise Story
Sunrise Windows was formed in 1994 by Gary Delman, Larry VanDeVelde, and Elliott Delman. For many prior years, these three worked at another nationally known manufacturer of vinyl windows which was founded by Gary's father.
After that company was sold to a publicly traded company, Gary, Elliott and Larry continued to work there, but over the ensuing seven years, the direction of the company changed dramatically from the initial focus. An entrepreneurial, innovative company started to evolve into a typical corporate environment.
The needs of the customers and the creativity of the employees were no longer paramount, and so, Gary, Elliott and Larry decided there had to be a better way. By continuing to listen to the wants and desires of customers and employees, Gary, Elliott and Larry set off to design a brand new company, that being Sunrise Windows. In 1994, when Sunrise was formed, there were no employees, no customers and no products.
There was just a passion to design and manufacture a vinyl replacement windows that was better looking, better performing, and more reliable than the typical replacement window. And by listening to the input from customers, Sunrise's products were created. One by one, customers "gave us a chance", an order here, an order there. And by paying attention to the minutest details, and by rapidly responding to customers' needs, and by creating an environment where customers knew they were king, orders continued to come in, jobs were created, and a company was formed. If we keep our customers happy, odds are they'll keep buying from us. How do we keep them happy?
With our people and our products. And a drive to always improve. We do this by listening and learning from our customers. Our people drive the relationship with our customers. Our products must be unique. There are over 1,000 companies making vinyl replacement windows. We must be different. We must have innovative products. We must be creative. We must develop features that provide advantages to our customers so they can be different from all of their competitors.
We must be flexible. We must be able to quickly change and adapt to the needs of the marketplace. Therefore, we must have a drive to continuously improve every aspect of our business. What is a vinyl window?
A window that has a frame manufactured primarily from polyvinyl chloride (PVC).
What are the benefits of having a Sunrise vinyl window?
Vinyl windows in general insulate better compared to windows made from other materials. In addition, Sunrise Windows are manufactured with polyurethane foam-filled extrusions for additional insulation.
What is Low-E Glass?
Low-E is shorthand for low emissivity. Windows made with Low-E glass block out most of the harmful UV rays and bleaching effect of the sun and reflect heat back to its source, while allowing visible light into the home.
What are R-Factors and U-Values?
R-factor is the resistance a material has to heat flow. The higher the R-factor, the better the insulating factor. U-value is a measurement of the loss of heat through a material or structure. What is condensation and what can I do to reduce it?
When water beads or ice forms on your window it is condensation.

Does the SunClean glass require any special maintenance?
SunClean is made to allow rainwater and sunlight to clean your glass. If the window is not exposed to enough sunlight or if there is a period of low rainfall, you may need to rinse the glass. Follow our care and operation guidelines for proper prep and maintenance.

The Best Low-E Glass Available
All windows ordered with our soft-coat Low-E are filled with Argon gas as standard. Argon is a very heavy and dense gas, which acts like an amplifier to boost the performance of our soft-coat Low-E glas by 20%. Normal air between the panes of glass tends to circulate from hot to cold by rapid movement. The density of Argon gas move much slower, thereby reducing the heat of summer or cold of winter transferring over to the inside pane of the glass. Sunrise uses Argon gas in both our soft-coat Low-E glass and our Ultra-U+Plus Glass option.
